Well not quite anymore :singing:, the medical people let me have my shiny new leg yesterday. I am allowed to put it on, but not yet to try walking without the physios watching to make sur.e I don't do anything stupid:(;). It is going to be a long and (hopefully) mostly upright process, but at least now, if I don't move, I look relatively normal (y).

Regards, Gary.

Thanks Andrew, I am looking forward too it, especially since the great thief of all things biscuit does such a great job of organising it. It's a shame you can't make it to Figureworld, you'ld like it. See you in November,

Best wishes, Gary.

I wish you well with the prosthetic Garry, your sense of humour and bravery through the ravages of diabetes are really inspirational....take care and see you at figure world.

Keith

Thanks Keith, look forward to seeing you there :)

Great News Gary:D.
Is it bionic?:p.

Thanks Ralph, it's not actually bionic, but it does have a habit of flicking up and kicking me in the backside :(. I'll just have to train it not to ..

Hi Gary " relatively normal " Higgins

No stopping you now then .....you just make sure you listen to the docs, physio , etc ...and no trying to impress the ladies by polishing your leg ....

See you at FW

It's the polishing bit that I really like, and there's one gorgeous brunette who doesn't know where to stop

:whistle::happy: .

Good luck with the new leg Gary, I hope you quickly adapt to it and you're soon running about like a young gazelle. Although initially it might be more like a newborn giraffe. ☺

Thanks Roger :), I think it's going to be a long time till I'm out of drunken sailor mode !!! :woot:

I do hope you have the tool holster upgrade adaption for your sculpting kit Gary?
See ya at Oundle chum.

Paul.

Hi Gary,
Positive news mate(y). I bet you got them to sculpt a dragons foot or something on the end:cool: . Anyway better odds now, with my luck I could never beat a one legged man in an arse kicking competition.:D See you at FW mate.
Does that mean I can borrow the chariot to do my Brian Potter impression!
cheers
Richie

Thanks Richie, but no one is
playing with my new chariot (assuming I've got it by then :().
I did make sure the surgeon did a good job of resculpting the stump (in between propositioning the anesthetist)

Excellent news Gary!
