Lemmy RIP

I didn't know who Lemmy was until Colin did his excellent tribute figure. Clearly I am not into "metal."

But I saw this tribute on Andre Huesken's militaria and autographs site and thought it might be of interest. I have dealt with Andre for years too. Who knew Lemmy was into a sister hobby to ours?

IN MEMORIAM - IAN "LEMMY" KILMISTER (24.12.1945 - 28.12.2015). We have lost not only one of the greatest rock musicians in the world - I lost a long-standing customer of my house. When I met you many years ago I was scared - scared about your almost ingenious knowledge and your understanding of "our" German history. I had the feeling of having met a walking historian lexicon, that everything down to the smallest detail knew. Lemmy, I will miss our lengthy discussions and our talking shop.

On a documentary on Lemmy it turned out that he had a great interest in WWII history and collected. Actually he liked building models as well. Especially Airfix WWII aircraft. They showed him riding a Hezter in the documentary.
