Many thanks for all your comments, much appreciated.

Never saw the Clark Gable until you mentioned it colin, just thought he looked a bit" spiffing "

Hopefully Mark will start the v-bench on this soon

Glad you like it

Love the figure but that cap badge is Royal Fusiliers not Northumberland Fusliers!
Quo Fata Vocant.

Martin

It's a beautiful bust but on the subject of the badge I have a feeling the Tyneside Irish battalions wore a harp badge not the usual Northumberland Fusiliers grenade badge. I hope someone can prove me wrong.

Roger.

Edit, Just had a look in Kitchener's Army by Ray Westlake and I'm pleased to say I was mistaken. The cap badge was the grenade of the Northumberland Fusiliers and the harp badge was worn on the collar (sometimes ;) )
Shamrock sleeve badge was greyish blue for the 2nd Tyneside Irish.

Again many thanks for all the positive comments, and thanks for clarifying the badges roger

Martin's right about the Royal Fusiliers badge being incorrect, however it hasn't stopped me ordering one... I'll work something out, it's too good a subject and bust even for a "flattie" like me to let pass.

Roger.

To be honest your gonna need your optivisor to notice it let alone paint it. 8x or 10x should do it

its on its way Roger, hope you like it
