Here's a life size head I've been working on to practice facial proportions, it's modeled off a friend of mine. It is sculpted in Chavant NSP Medium and weighs about 3-/35 pounds, even with a styrofoam armature.

Ethan,

That looks really good to me. I think you have made some serious jumps in your sculpting. Way to go and I look forward to seeing more from you.

Eathan, I saw this on the Clubhouse and thought it was great. I especially like how you rendered the hair. You have come a long way with your sculpting. are you working on anything smaller?~Gary

Thanks to all for the comments.

Gary- I would really love to go back to 54mm figures, but I'm having a really hard time proportioning the armatures lately. I've tried a bunch of different methods, including yours in your SBS, but I can never seem to get the shape of the hip/pelvis right. Are there any easier ways?

Can i have her phone number?
That's creepy man, we're both 17 lol

Stefano- I'm probably going to make a latex mold and cast it in plaster, though if I come across large quantities of cash someday I would like to make a bronze.

Hi Ethan...it's great to see you doing some more sculpting...and such a great way to get the feel for sculpting the face...I've always wanted to do something lifesize myself...

lovely work.

All the best...Roy.

Just fantastic!!! One of the things I miss going to MMSI meetings is watching your work grow. I see your taking Dick Pielin's advice and go after girls, forget the hobby! Hope you're coming to Valley Forge, if not ,see you in Chicago.

Thanks alot for the comments.

The head actually looks alot like the girl I was working off of, she looks alot older for her age. I'll be taking it to a school-sponsored art show tomorrow, I'm pretty excited. Right nor the hair is cleaned up a bit but it's not any more detailed. Do you guys think I should go further with it or leave it more simplified?

Ah and I don't need the MMSI to tell me to talk to girls

Take care,
Ethan

Great stuff Ethan!!

That is really well done, how you like the chavant? How do you go about using it? I have been curious as to how its used but never really knew.

Looking forward to see what you do next!
