Ahoj Milane,

what a great painting, also the SBS is very interesting and useful.
Could you please explain how you did the grass spots on the base? WOW!

Thanks
Denes

My friends,
thank you for your comments. I´m glad you like the model.
My friend Dénes, I bought this grass for years ago and this is very good grass. You us the tweezer(pincers), whip out bit of grass and stick on the base whit the glue. Wait one day and next you play whit airbrush. Dark green, light green, light brown, a little pigments etc.
I hope, you understand my english...;)

El Viejo Dragon product. Here is the grass....click

Milan that's nicely done my friend. Very neat painting and great shadows & Highlights. The groundwork comes and binds everything together.

You are in Prague...????!!!!  We can meet somewhere...I´m also in Prague, I live here ;)
I´m afraid this grass can´t buy in Prague. You can order it from Zinnfugure.com...

Milan, this is super. Thanks for sharing it with us. I reckon it'll look even better with a lighter background.... and better still in the flesh. Great job !

Light Cavalryman of the 12th Reg. France 1812

Hi.
The painting is neat, relly well executed and the look of this officer of Chasseur-a-cheval is definitely convincing.
My suggestion: I have seen this figure already, when Maurizio presented it on this forum. I think I would paint the green darker, or without less blue in it. But it is true that some Regiments of Chasseurs were provided with jackets in a lighter shade of green. It was appaerently the case for the only regiment which was in Egypt, according to Rigo, the french military illustrator. But our fellow is situated in 1812.
