Light Infanterie of Africa 1870 WIP

Hello,

here is my painting WIP of the nice sculpted figure by my friend Greg Girault (Mister Greg).

Please note that there is lots of parts not finished yet, as the riffle, hat.....
Almost 90% of the shadows you see on the pics are painted (it's not the light effect).
Painted with oil over Humbrol n°84 undercoat.

I have redone the base completelly (with my friend Greg agree).


And here the figure kit as it will be sold by DesKit :

JP, I too like the groundwork! I am a big fan of this era and the French. Look forward to hearing more about the kit and others from DES. Would love to see them do more FFL stuff. I have painted a number of their FFL kits as well over the years. Good job on your figure and base. Thanks for sharing.

Superb painting,excellent base, this will makes me buy one too! Will it be available at Euro? This again proves that when companies invest in attractive painting for boxart it sells more, at least that's what I think.

unfortunatelly it wont be ready for Euro show.
Only because I have to paint another one with the normal base and not the one I did ......... So you'll have to be patient

But at Euro there will be a new release. Do you remember the injuried french soldier I posted earlier?
The figure will be at Euro competition and also the kit will be on sell.
