WIP Line Lancer & Scot’s Grey - Waterloo

Busy converting a couple of 1/16 Miniart figures (French Dragoon) and horses into a dynamic cavalry scene, set during the battle of Waterloo. French line lancer v British Scot’s Grey. The lancer has a Reedees head I’ve adapted, the Grey is from the spares box from a Mitches miniature 120mm bust.

Been re sculpting the horses and figures for a few weeks, my first go at something Napoleonic. So learning a lot about the uniform, weapons and tactics of that era. Still lots to do till the work is ready for painting.

Next up is shortening the carbine and adding all the horse tack.

Thank you Bill, still a way to go but had great fun modelling most of last week.

I concur, so many great model manufacturers like Miniart producing out of Ukraine. Been thinking about them all as I love ICM for their 1/35 WW1 subjects, even Roden has its place and love Masterbox horses.

Thank you David, not sure what bust the Scot’s Grey head came from, I picked up some seconds from the Mitches stand at a show, thought it would be used one day. The Reedees heads from Steve are great to adapt for such a scene as used on the Lancer. A bit of facial hair really changes a bare head, so can be used multiple times for a different look.
