Hi all, Kevin at Ultracast has just issued the second of two 1/48th scale pilot figures i did, well, a long time ago! I have waited a while for these guys to come out. As usual, he has done an outstanding job of casting them.

The Russian pilot was released sometime back, while the german pilot was released just this past week. I know they are small (37mm), but I have tried to pack the same detail into them that i do on larger figures. I hope you like them!

And the earlier released Russian pilot:

Both can be had from Ultracast's website:

Cheers!!

Wow! I am envious of your extremely impressive work! I've been trying to sculpt decent 1/48 scale figures for a couple years and my heads/faces look terrible. How do you make a great face at such a small scale?

Fantastic work!

Oh Mike, you are joking- They are never 1/48 :woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot:
What little fellows with such detailed surface. A really great work-. I like your way to make folds and wrinkles. Really lifelike!!!

Best regards,
Martin

Excellent figures! I have the Luftwaffe pilot and the quality is amazing. What I want to underline as well is the historical accuracy of the figure; its uniform and flight gear fits perfectly to a pilot at the Channel or the Mediterranean during 1943-1944. And another plus is that it is a generic pilot, not a specific ace!

Mike, thank you very much for these little gems!

BTW, do you plan to release more WWII pilot figures in 1/48? (maybe a German late war pilot in the two piece leather suit for all the Me262, Fw190 and Bf109? Please :))

Really brilliant work. May have to get the the German.
Does anyone have any experience of buying direct from Ultracast to ship to the UK? I have recently just received a refund from a online supplier based in the UK after 20 months (!) of waiting for some of Mikes 1/32 pilots that I had on pre-order. Not blaming Ultracast at all as I think the UK supplier never really followed my order up. Just wandering how quick they should come?
Ps: the uk supplier wasn't involved in the PF community - just to be clear.
Cheers Mat

Excellent work as always, i just love the folds, wrinkles, drappery.I very much like the way that everything is so clean and the detail defined.Inspirational work Mike(y)
