With tongue firmly in cheek I thought I'd start a thread . . .
One thing that really rattles my cage is the phrase 'pre-order'. Ordering is by definition 'pre' you can't pre-order unless this refers to that moment when you think about ordering something. You can pre-pay ie pay in advance of something being made and you can order something, but the merging of the two phrases is a modern affliction. (A bit like calling cricket 'batsmen' by the now favoured 'batters' like some pieces of fish) Please stop it right now!
