You what irk's me.....you bloody pensioners stood at the front of the check out..... with a queue of 30 behind you, while you scramble about for 30 minutes trying to find the exact amount down to the last farthing trying to make up £1.49 only to realise that you cannot make it up after 30 minutes and then hand over a tenner

there should be a check out aisle for pensioners only gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

and then, and then you spend the next 15 minutes before handing over the tenner rubbing it with your cold fingers to make sure there are not two stuck together

if it was that cold in the crypt when you got up should have put the heating on, but no you won't do that so you could feel tenner's properly because you would rather save the heating money the government gives you for a bottle of gin

in the words of Jim Royle….pre orders my arse

rant over.....may be:rolleyes:

Sorry Mr R ....but it was my weekly shop @£1.49 ......and they wouldn't take the white £5 note ....off back to the crypt and drink my gin with my fingerless gloves and scarf on...LOL

What an excellent post this has become .... a wide ranging rant from doddery old pensioners to misplaced apostrophes. Wonderful stuff !
Hopefully soon someone will mention the thoroughly irksome current fashion for converting verbs into nouns ( we seem to receive
'invites' these days and endure 'disconnects' ). Never mind the 'pre-orders', what the hell our 'revenue streams' and 'diverse product bases' ?

It all looks to me as though you lot could invent a new board game......its title might be "Intolerance". The use of "So" and "Like" drives me to distraction, too, but my dislike of these 'new' language idioms isn't going to change folks using them. And as for senior citizens in Post Offices.....,um, what bloody Post Offices ? Three sub-PO's have closed up in this area in the last couple of years ; we have to travel 15 miles for a main one. Live and let live, chaps , there's good boys.

Selfie sticks [or as SWMBO says - "Idiot sticks"]. Especially tourists in hotter climes. Why go on holiday to take pictures of yourself! What about the scenery, architecture, sunset, temple etc etc.? Never look where they're going!
