Wow, what a great re-release of an absolute timeless classic!! Good price as well, considering its size and provenance.

I was lucky enough to pick up an original for a sensible price a few months ago, otherwise I would have been very tempted by this. I'm sure all 50 will be snapped up though.

You have completely wiped out any residual market value for my stash of originals...and I couldn't be happier to see them available again. This guy was my first big scale fig back in 96 or 97, and I still haven't finished him!
Now, if you could get the molds and rights to the S&T stuff , Nirvana!

Working to get the S&T masters. Right now the guy wants to much for them, they have been sitting in his basement for over 20 years. Also working hard to get the remaining masters from the old Fort Duquesne Resin Figures Line.

Thats just really messed up IMO. Whats the use of keeping the masters stashed away and likely decomposing in a basement instead of letting someone buy and make use of them. No sense whatsoever. Fort Dusquesne had some nice stuff too, so glad to hear that we might see some of those hit the market as well. Maybe you could do a "Go fund me" to raise the $$$ for the S&T masters, and give anyone who donates a discount on their first purchase.

Yeah it's like Gollum in Lord Of The Rings isn't it, with "his Precious".

Or Smaug the dragon sleeping on his hoard of treasure.

Plus some people are basically just greedy. I've seen it with stash liquidations, where you get sellers holding out for full-retail or in some cases even full-retail plus because they're convinced that the stuff is "collectible". And guess what .... they end up not being able to shift it, and in the end nobody wins.

The GoFundMe isn't a bad idea in principle, but why give the owner the satisfaction of paying over the odds for them? They're fabulous figures of course and it would be great to see them available again. But it's not as if there are no alternatives, plenty of which have become available since S&T stopped trading (Alpine, Jeff Shiu etc.)

That's exactly my attitude, when the time comes and I need to pack my bags, if I can not sell the Custom Dioramics and Legends & Lore Resin Figures range to someone (cheap) I will find someone worthy and give it away "free" to them. I will not allow all this work from the days of Dave Pomeransky in Canada, to Bob Letterman, to me to go to waste and end up on a garbage dump just to satisfy my ego and get more than I should for it. Others created these brands I now own and put in the work to make them great. I am just their current "keeper" and trying to expand them gracefully and economically for all to enjoy. This hobby is a passion...........

I thought about a Go Fund Me, but he is crazy that he wants around $50,000 for the S&T masters. No way he can get that amount for a line that has been sitting around for over 20 years. Those masters are worth between $5K-$10K with in person pick up and that's about it. Like you stated, they are great figures but there are a lot of other choices.

Thanks for the support.

He is completely out of his mind.

Either that or he really doesn't want to sell them to anyone, and is just quoting you stupid money in order to put you off.

Which brings us back to the Gollum and Smaug scenarios ..... :wacky:

Maybe his goal is to be buried with his treasures in the coffin with him, and at anything close to 50K, I think thats exactly what he'll get. Both he and the masters will in effect, be land fill. The recasters will breath easier, that's for sure.

I don’t know if he is crazy I think if you asked JR to sculpt these figures for you now and there are a few in that range you would be surprised how much the amount would come to. You also have them ready and not waiting to have them sculpted and they are great clean cast produced figures. I think with so many new 1/16 model kits on the market or coming out these figures would be great to see back on the market.

I’m still waiting on my knight figure from years ago, maybe just send me the 1/9 Warriors German Stalingrad instead :)
