Are you accessing the Internet and the forum from a desktop/laptop or a mobile device? What browser and operating system are you using? And is it happening just with PF, or with other secure sites you might use?
I'm on a laptop, on my home Internet connection (DSL), using Windows 7 Pro and Firefox 48.0.2.
I bring this all up, because I used to use Internet Explorer, generally, because I used it for our applications at my work, and it was just easier to use it for general browsing, too. But when IE10 came out, I noticed that when I accessed secure websites, like this one, FineScale and other modeling forums, and Facebook, eBay, IMDb, etc--any site that used accounts to grant access--I'd get logged in, and then every couple of hops from one page to another, the site would prompt me to log in again. I tried the same sites using the release of Firefox at that time, and did not have the same problem. Then I searched the web and found others had reported the same issue. IE10 didn't interact cleanly with the rest of the Internet as far as authenticating goes, and I switched to using Firefox as my main browser. Microsoft didn't fix the issue in IE11, either, though it got a little better. Since I haven't had to move to Win10 and the Edge browser, I don't know if they've resolved it yet, though the issue may have been made obsolete with the new browser.
And I say this, because it may be something specific to your setup--the combination of device, operating system and/or browser--and possible caused by something completely beyond your control (like updates to the OS or browser pushed out by the manufacturer).
If you can try another device/browser, you should, and see if you have the same issue. If you don't experience the same problem, it's a workaround, at least, till the issue is resolved with your normal setup.
Sorry for butting in, but I work in IT, including doing a lot of support and troubleshooting work so I couldn't help myself.
Prost!
