I went the the 2008 IPMS USA Nationals last week in Virginia Beach.
Of course, I sent my fair share of time browsing through the vendor area and this is what I found...

First up, a very large scale bust of a female anime bust. This thing is some 7 1/2 inches tall. I have no idea who makes it but based on the quality of the casting, the color photo on the box and the included instructions I don't believe it's a recast.

If anyone has any idea on the origins of the piece, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

Second up, I stumbled upon a slightly reworked original Fort Duquesne "Kisho-Kan" samurai bust. As you can see by the close up photo, the quality of the rework looks top notch. Really lucked out with this one.

Craig, Guilty. That bust was actually part of my Fort Duquesne collection. I added the additional facial hair and reworked the nose and eyelids a bit. What a small world. I originally sold it on Ebay. Wonder who else owned it before you came to be it's owner. ~Gary

Wow...that's an amazing coincidence.
I knew that whoever did the rework knew what they were doing.
Gotta wonder not only who else owned it but just how far it has traveled in its trip between Erie and Pittsburgh.

Craig, just in case you didn't know the first bust is an incarnation of Chun Li from the Streetfighter games. No idea of the maker, and best of luck finding that out!

Wow, small world indeed! As the photos show and as Craig said, the work done on it was top notch

A guy on Historicus Forma said that it was a Chun-Li bust from the Street-Fighter video game and thought it was produced by Kaiyodo and was a Wonder-Festival (Japan) exclusive.
So it's got a few miles on it as well
