Thank you very much Keith.
I'm assuming you have the YS Masterpieces Byron?

Hi Roger
My first idea was to go for a conversion, I really wanted to sculpt it but I have so many sculpts on the go.
My base figure was Carl's Hellenic Revolutionary General. Almost as soon as it arrived Anastasia posted Her Byron.
Both are excellent 200 mm busts but collecting dust are the moment.......I fear that one or the other may never see the light of day.

brilliant painting roger.
you were in the navy based in scotland the same as me so must have found out the difference between a skirt and a kilt in the pubs round dunfirmaline,(i still have black eyes from making the mistake).

That one is Yannis Makriyannis, a much more interesting character than Byron. He taught himself to write so he could author his memoirs which is why there is a quill and manuscript on the supplied base.

Very interesting Bio of Yannis Makriyannis. Thank you Roger.
I wondered why the quill and manuscript were on the base.
All the best
Keith
