WIP Lord Commander from Fan Art Models

As I am not going to Yeovil Model Show I bought 3 busts online to make up for what I would have spent there.

The first one is someone called Lord Commander, who ever he is, I got him as I just liked the look of the bust.



It's a nice sturdy bust in two parts with minimal cleaning, so after the usual preping I painted the head first, Oils for flesh and acrylics the rest. Hair still needs work on it.



The body has just the basic coat so plenty of work still to do.



More work tomorrow if I feel up to it as I have my yearly chest infection, doc gave me antibiotics yesterday.

I think the actor depicted is Roy Dotrice, isn’t it? I’ve never watched GoT either, I gather it did a lot for Northern Ireland’s economy due to being filmed there.

No Chris, this one is James Copeland also known as James Cosmo, a Scottish actor.

Sorry Geoff, my mistake - it was just that the box art looked more like Roy Dotrice. I imagine the image was altered slightly for copyright reasons from James Cosmo of Battle of Britain, Trainspotting & SS-GB fame.

Thanks Bob, I've never seen it but I'm not painting him to look like anyone from the series, but I do like the colours on the box art so it might look a bit like it.
