The Gorn appeared in only one TOS (The Original Series) episode, but did make a return in 'Enterprise' in one of the mirror universe episodes.
In TOS the Gorn was a guy in a suit, on Enterprise it was a CG character.

All this aside, great work on the collection, and you have me now thinking of getting these busts mysel
...I blame YOU....

First round done. Blocking in hair colors next, then back to tighten up details and warm up some of the flesh tones. Most of the aliens have some iridescent or metallic clothing. Anyone have ideas on products to capture that effect?

For Sulu, besides the green undercoat, there is a lot of violet and purple in the shadows. He went through multiple filters, the first was too pink, the next too orange. Other than that the colors are standard flesh tones, the green undercoat desaturates them making them look right for his skin, which is quite pink in photos, hence the purplish shadows. The paints are all Scalecolor artist paints, with the exception. of the glitter paint on the Gorn’s eyes and uniform.

The Orion dancer is being troublesome, I’m really struggling with all the green flesh, so I will either move her to the top of the queue and get it over with, or leave her to the end. The principal characters raise some challenges as well, as they have to look just right since fans know how they are ‘supposed’ to look. I’m really trying to master acrylics, so I’m challenging myself not to drag out the oils to make the shading all faster and easier for me. In that sense they are all tough.

The lighting in the show has so many bight colors that they may end up with some bold OSL or clipping light in the end. Have to get there first though! Then there is the Enterprise itself…
