Hi Guys,

Maybe I just re-invented the wheel here, but here is something I would like to share: Using empty chewing gum blister packs as a low cost palette.

To keep the paint fresh during breaks, cover with a piece of packaging tape.
Nice for small quantities and, here's what I like...no cleaning up!

Hope this is of any use.

Li'l' bit :)

Not quite as cheap as this but still inexpensive, you can make a stay-wet palette for very little too. A low-sided plastic food container (with a burpable lid), a sheet of kitchen paper for the reservoir and a sheet of parchment or baking paper for the membrane. Add water and paint and you're good to go.

For acrylics stay-wet palettes are a much better bet in the long run and I highly recommend at least giving them a shot - not having to fight drying constantly is a huge boon.

Hi Guys

Old tablet trays is another easy and plentiful pallet.

Einion, I have seen this done with a piece of sponge from the inside of kit boxes to hold the water and I have seen it holding paint before
