LRDG Insignia Q

Evening all.
Finishing a bust of the officer in the jeep but I can't any good reference for the
colour of the insignia on the epaulettes.
All I can I find is the colour pic of the doll/ action figure.
Any help would be brilliant.

The 2nd picture is Guy Prendergast who was CO from 1941-43
