Hi Guys,

Just finished this from RP , a challenge with all that kharki !!!! .

Lots of little details added as is my want ..the waterbottle cord , replaced the pistol lanyard, redrilled the sword basket out many holes!!...holding my breath!!!, , worked on the bow grip , added a Manchester badge on the helmet ( more of a challenge for me to paint..I have seen pictures dated just prior to 1940 so I thought why not ...little bit more interest when viewing) , also reworked the hair and roughed up the pouches a bit , added the cross keys badge on his right arm ( I hasten to add nothing wrong with the original ...just me!!!) .....

as with all my stuff it looks a lot better in the flesh rather than here!!!! .... pics have washed the colour ....I hate cameras!!!!!

Nameplate from Julie and Paul Newman from Name It!!!

its now occupying my display cabinet..with pride!!!

That's beautiful, properly well done sir. Now I've seen someone elses build I might pluck up courage and have a go at mine. I've got him in the grey army as well and yes, I'm scared by all that battledress serge, will probably use most of the Vallejo WW2 allies paints set I've got lol.
Regards.
Mick.

Hi Guys ,

Thanks for the comments appreciate you looking in

Not bad Kev, like the extras. Still prefer no helmet though.

Aye not bad Tom ....you put a cap comforter on your head and had left the arrow off , do share a picture of you version mate

Thanks everyone for looking in

Lovely work, Nap

Quick question - what is the red stripe on the top fletching? Is it to signify cock feather?

If so - it would be better to twist arrow slightly so its horizontal and towards his face.

Cock feather is usually different colour (black or grey) or stripes.

Yes that's right , jimbo said it was the top and slightly angled toward the firer ...but I might gave misunderstood him , I will have a look at it again , means repainting the feathers on the arrow he is firing which is the option as I am not moving the arrow round

Any chance of a picture Dimitry ?

Cheers

Yes- i got confused for a second. it needs to be flat on the side. You need to twist the arrow slightly anticlockwise. The idea is that fletchings don't smack into the bow and get torn off or alter the arrows flight.

Cheers D ..very reluctant to move the arrow could result in repainting the hand ..I will have a look!

The arrow has been repositioned with no other work needed except reposing the shaft ...flight is now facing the viewer ...left it with the one red stripe ...looks fine

Thanks D for pointing this out

Happy days
