stunning, the handling of the flesh and the red tunic is flawless. I much prefer this style of painting to the heavily contrasted busts which almost convert 3D back to 2D representations. Out of interest what did you use to shade and highlight the gold braiding?

Superb finish Bob...looks great(y)

Excellent work, Bob!

Thank you all for the compliment's, really chuffed.

Harto, the gold lace has been painted with Dark Star ' Gold Braid' and shaded with sepia ink. Hope that helps.

this is very good indeed Bob , face is spot on and the red works well without contrast , a little mention on the blue spot on again.

Bob

This is a cracking paint you have done the sculpt so much credit...so lifelike it could be a real person , do like the work on the flesh especially.......I think this is the best from Mick's releases

Great to see and a cracking sculpt from Pavol

Why not enter something into FOTM as well

Happy benchtime

Thank you for the compliment Nap. I also think this is one of the best of Mick's Mick's.

Marvellous work on this. Not easy to pull off a 'clean style' without it looking flat but you have got it spot on
Very impressive (y)
