Major Blondie Hasler - Uniform colors

can anyone give me some hints on the color of the uniform and woolen 'cap' used by Major Blondie Hasler in the raid against the Germans at Bordeaux?

Having been to the museum the cap was a dark blue in the display

Camo is black/ dark green with a very slight sheen

Remember the spray and water coming over the canoe itself when in use

The cap is navy blue or a faded dark blue?
