Hi

Our next release and our first figure.

GMF120/01 Major General Charles Napier KCB, India 1843

Scale 120mm resin

Superbly sculpted by Mike Good and being painted as I write this by Ernesto, maybe he will let you have a sneak peak at his progress.

The kit is limited to 100 kits and doesn't come with a base.

All comments welcome

This looks total quality ...sculpted by Mike Good what else really , like the glasses ....how are these producd ?

With Ernesto painting it as well ...something to look forward to ...thankfully its not a bust or another month with baked beans for Sunday dinner would loom !!!!

Grenadier Miniatures range is certainly one full of great sculpts and subjects .

Thanks for sharing

Nice to see the Old Indian and British Army in India getting some attention, it`s a wonderful period, both uniforms and history.

I too wonder how the glasses are produced in the kits ?

Wow...many thanks for all the orders, i have just been the post office so they are on their way to you all.

Thanks for the great comments....the figure really is a beauty and just goes together like a dream...its a piece of cake and down to the skill of mike good. My job in moulding it was easy.

There are 2 sets of glasses in the kit...solid resin and a clear set. Be carefull they are fragile you will just need to add the arms from very fine wire or stretched sprue or even a thick piece of hair i suppose.

The victorian era and its empire esp india and north west frontier is firmly on my radar so there will be more.

Many thanks again

Stuart

I just ordered one. It's such an interesting looking figure. I don't know a thing about the historical person or period but I agree with lolok .... Captain Nemo or some other Jules Verne character comes to mind for me.

I put the black and white version together for the initial
box art on this piece and it was an absolute pleasure to do!

A great sculpt by Mike Good with excellent engineering and
typically neat castings.

I used a bit of stretched sprue on the solid version of the glasses
but any fine wire or plastic would do :)

Looking better all the time. Are the clear glasses pre formed or do they need cutting out from a clear sheet ?
