This Mameluk from Metal Modèles has been painted exclusively with acrylics (it's also my first attempt at painting lacing with this type of paint). The set is made with foam-core board, covered with textured plaster.

Patrick,
what can I say, good stuff! Your first attempt at this with acrylics is inspired. I hate to rain on the parade, but I have one contstructive comment, I think the boots, although nice, could stand to be shade differnt from the pants. That might help them feel a bit more like a differnt material, and show a bit more wear. Justa thought,

Jay: No, you're right (no prob for the rain thing, I'm used to it living in Belgium ^o^!)
I did add more English Uniform to the Scarlet to tone it down, and dusted the tips of the boots with glazes of Sand Yellow, but I think I could have done this a bit more (y)

That's beautifully done Patrick. I also like this kit a lot.. it's a really beauty.
