Got this lovely 120mm bust from Tommi on this forum. It really is a nice piece and is next up on the start line.

Minimal amount of prep, just removing casting blocks and pinning arms into place and glued with epoxy resin. Then priming with Tamiya grey then straight into mapping out the face with W&N water soluble oils.

Really looking forward to getting stuck into this one.

Cheers Chris, yep,
Looks like you are really enjoying retirement Graham. Great to see you on a roll.

Chris
it was the best thing I could have done lol. I still have orders from SWMBO but I can generally get the domestic things out the way pretty quickly :)

Hi Graham

Blimey your on the starting line .....I am just getting to the changing room !!

Received mine ( thought torso missing but...oh how wrong .....found it in the fridge .....just don't ask ...Tommi chuckled )

Agree this is a nice piece so I am following with interest

I have the full figure version of this. It's a mighty piece of resin and I have the main components assembled and ready for priming. Will be doing him as a Scots man-at-arms from the Battle of Dupplin Muir, 1332. Need to do some research on livery and so on.

Just trying to find a base that's big enough. Will be seeing Richard Warton of Oakwood Bases at Sword and Lance this weekend, am sure that he will have just what I need.

How do you mean “don’t ask”? Of course I have to ask.... how on earth did it end up in the fridge? :)

Nice one Richard, I may just go with the box art for the full figure, the red and white, as my knowledge of these things is sadly lacking. Looking forward to seeing your full figure though. Are you doing a WIP?

Might do. Am a bit out of my comfort zone with a figure of this size and am not sure if my painting skills are up to it yet, but maybe I will bite the bullet.

As for Nap's torso in the fridge, I think he's been watching too many slasher movies. Or maybe he's been on the Toilet Duck.

My painting skill are not up to it either but I find posting a WIP helps me focus and the generous comments on here help guide me to get better at it so please consider it.

I thought he had stopped that thing with the toilet duck when he found Mr Muscle lemon fresh..... ahh well..... :)

Hi Graham/Richard

I think I thought the figure so cool ....so .......

Carole just kept shaking her head in amazement

Toilet Duck ...Mmmmm haven't tried that one .....

Happy benchtime

I feel like I'm trapped in am episode of Father Ted.

Ok, Graham, you've persuaded me, SBS or something similar will be provided. Am going to have to get my biggest brushes our for this boy and buy my paints from B&Q. Joking apart, it is a great figure and it is always good to stretch oneself a bit.

Started blocking in the main colours which are subject to change lol.

Can anyone confirm that the the plates hanging from his chain mail sleeves and the bobbles on his leather hood would be metal please?
