The Maori bust is almost ready .The pipe stem needs some finishing other than that.He,s ready to go.Comments welome.

What a wonderful bust Andy. Lovely introduction to Maori history. Love his musket but it looks a wee bit homemade. Would this be normal and as a Scout whose side was he on? I can only assume he was fighting against fellow New Zealanders.

Thanks for the comments.The rifle is a .577 snider with Maori carved designs on the rifle stock,once the stock is painted in a dark brown umber the pattern will not be so pronounced.
