Thanks for the news always sad to hear someone in hobby passes on ... I knew the name only but certainly a dedicated modeller

He wasn't a member here as far as I can see but you will be missed in the community

Enjoy the Heavanly bench-time

RIP Marc

Think he was a member long before that with a different number after his name.
Not sure if he ever got round to painting anything.
His particular thing was asking questions that in equal measure got people irritated but also responding :D
Over the years the answers to the questions he asked must have built up a considerable resource of information.
We are gradually losing characters from the planet that add a much needed element of fun to the site.

I think Marc may have been a member before that, but created a new login for himself then. He was a member of Timelines-Historica, too. His handle was "mcsneed". For a while, too, his avatar was Calvin & Hobbes. I want to say that he changed his username (ie, started a different account) at Timelines, too.
I was just wondering recently what he was up to, because I hadn't seen any posts from him for a couple of months. Marc was also a regular at MFCA.
Very sad that he's passed.

A post-script, because I just saw Meticulous' post:

He went by mcsnead17 before coming back as jonsteed70.

Yes, that's what I was thinking of.

Thank you ..checked that out ...lots of questions ...no actual models

Maybe you missed the part about having had a stroke.

I''m sorry to read this. I exchanged messages with him a few times here & over on Timelines. He did have a few difficulties and I know that his communications and questions exasperated some to the point of making unpleasant comments but he was a genuine enthusiast.

Rest in peace Marc.

Geoff

Not a name or forum handle that are familiar to me, but judging from the comments above he seems to have made a bit of an impression with some guys and was a friend to others, and it's always sad when we lose one of our own. R.I.P.
