No need to apologise for anything Ρογήρε.Besides there are probably some more Greeks in your GA just aching to be painted and be commented upon and I'm not going anywhere,at least in the near and forseeable future.Word of advice,Yannis from Greekheroes has a new line of Byzantine emperors(all three of them of Greek origin and Greek speaking).Just a quick sweep through the works of the great Sir Runciman will probably convince you that a personality like Vasileios II or Alexios Comnenos are definitely worth painting. The figures are absolutely lovely ( I got all three of them myself a couple of weeks back). Also check out Major Velisariou from the Balkan wars(a very accurate depiction of a very interesting uniform) and Moutousis,a Greek pilot from the Greek-Turkish war of 1921-1922,an absolutely one off subject never before rendered in 3D miniature.

Oda.

I am back at sea now Oda. however I have the following figures on order from Yannis,
Odysseus Androutsos, Niketaras, Giorgios Karaisakis.
To be honest I haven't looked at the Byzantine Emperors range as it's not a subject that has caught my interest or am very familiar with. I had better take a look, I have a feeling a could be missing out on something. :D Major Velisariou and Moutousis have already caught my interest though and are on my list of future purchases. Two of the books I brought to sea are about the Greek Revolution and the Balkans War.
Γεια σας!

That's awesome. Both are great historical chapters.Since you are an "able seaman"(I love this very British term and I thought I'd use it here,if by any chance you are an officer please excuse me)check out one of Greece's greatest naval commanders of the 20th century, admiral Kountouriotis from greekheroes. The subjects you have chosen are fantastic. Some of them are the source for many controversial opinions even today.Androutsos' father,a warrior of great renown and almost mythological status was born in the same town as all my relatives on my mother's side.Any information you might need or any kind of conversation on these topics, I can provide and would be very welcome.Feel free to PM me any time.Don't really know what is the proper way to send regards to a sailor in English so I'll just say hang in there.

Oda.
