Hello all, after a while there I publish the last piece completed in the beginning of this year. It 'a figure of SK Miniatures in 60mm carved by the skilled hands of Mike Blank. Mike is able to sculpt figurines of great pathos and atmosphere, even though it might have details not always exciting, as his recent style of eye sculpture, very collected, and with an unusual shape, which has complicated the painting a lot. But overall the pose is very relaxed and attractive, as it was very nice to paint the typical shades of red of this uniform. As my usual throughout the piece it was entirely painted in acrylic.

This "cartoon" style works nicely with Mike Blank's sculpt. This is one of those rare miniatures that may not look 'real', but creates its own unique atmosphere. Like it.

I thank you for your words of appreciation and I recommend you try to grapple with a similar subject. The "simplicity" of the uniform forces to focus on the color work, which is still very interesting and nice to carry on a subject of this period.

Hello Nap, for the base compound of the red I used:
Napoleonic red (A)
Orange red (VA)
Dark red (A)
for the shadows I added to the base compound the following colors:
dark red (A)
violet (VA)
while for the lights I used:
Orange red (VA)
light flesh (VA)
The basic concept is that in the first mixture is still present a small percentage of color that will use for shadows and also for the lights, to ensure that it can then find in subsequent compounds.
I hope to be helped.
