Hi Planet Members!

The figure that I have recently finished is Soldiers' 54mm marshal of Kingdom of Jerusalem. I painted it with 'Talens' artistic oils and Model Master metalizers. The figure is heavily weathered and so is the banner. I hope you like it :)

Nice work!
I could advice only to change a bit a ground color to reddish-brown of clay or lime colour for dry dust and limestone.
If you want I can show some photos of typical terrain in Terra Sancta.

Dr Lutz,

I would highly appreciate if you could post these pictures, the colour of groundwork can always be changed. I like crusaders' subjects in general, so the pictures would also be useful as the reference for my future works.

Best regards,

Mateusz

here's some photos of typical (more or less) terrains from different districts of Israel. The principe is: much stones and dust, it's dry and hot.

Best regards and good luck

Hi Mateuxz,

I love it, the shading on the whites is great.
You say you use Model Master metalizers, how were they with brush painting as I have only every used them with an airbrush for my 1/48 aircraft?

Thanks

Mark

Thank you Guys for positive comments!

Vergilius and Theseeker - 5 cents are painted accurately indeed, I would ideally like to paint 100 euro banknotes, hopefully that comes with time :)

Ashen-Shurgar, Model Master metalizers work fine for me, I usually use Gun Metal and then make all the highlighting with various colours: aluminum, silver, etc. Dry brush technique and that is it!

Best regards!

Mateusz
