For your information, I am just the administrator of the Masterclass website. I simply update the content I am given by the owner.
I notified the owners about this threat and I have just been told that they clarified everything with the respective authors.
As I understood some busts have been acquired from another company and I have no idea of the terms and conditions of their agreement which might have included the rights to use the images.
Again, I have just been told the Masterclass owners clarified everything via separate mail thread, so I don't understand why you are getting angry with me.
If you need further clarifications, please reach out to the owners dropping an email on [email protected]
I can assure you that the Masterclass owners operate always ethically, but sometime misunderstanding my arise.
Best regards
Luciano

Well, it appears that I too may have been included in the fun. At first I was flattered, now I am a little annoyed. Proper manners would have been to ask first and give the painter credit.

I am not e mailing anyone, they need to contact me.

I personally have already clarified everything with the team Masterclass, and they have been very kind. Everything has been due to a small misunderstanding.

However, I would advise to all of you mates, as we publish photos in Planet Figure and other publications in the internet, that henceforth include in your pictures, your brand, signature or name.
I am doing it since a few months.

Perhaps this is a misunderstanding as english is not my first language and I suspect it isnt your first language either.
But no one has to brand their pictures to avoid this. Its the company that uses the pictures who has to be certain they are legaly allowed to do so.

Nice painted viking, by the way Steve, I think I missed it when you first posted it.

Cheers

Well one shouldn't have to watermark a photo put on a forum to avoid having it used as box art to sell a product without even having been asked permission. I'm not angry about it but it doesn't seem right. Like recasting isn't right.

Steve

That box art for the 'Cuirassier 17th Century' looks suspiciously familiar.

What do you think? ....

I uploaded it onto PF in November last year:

http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/polish-hussar-17th-century-castle-miniatures-bust.74600/

Strangely, nobody has asked my permission to use it as box art.

On the PM'd advice of a PF member (many thanks to him for his help), I forwarded my original e-mail to Masterclass, to Franco Carcione.
I received an apologetic reply from Franco stating that Yuri Serebriakov had told him that using the photos would be OK. Franco was duly informed that I had never been consulted.
The whole matter was duly concluded by Franco informing me that my name would be credited.
I've just had a look at the Masterclass website and found the Cuirassier has now been added to their products, but no credit for my painting has been included.
Needless to say, I am most unimpressed, and I leave you all to draw your own conclusions.

Totally disgusted,
Andrew

I've tried to access the website, to see the situation, and I've just discovered that painters from my country are not welcome there.

Glad to know the brand even better...even better to other companies

Andrew, let me know what is your full name and I will add a statement to the description of the Eastern Viking.
I appreciate that giving the proper credits is very important, but the new pictures have been put online just last Saturday!
Thanks
Luciano

Filipe, that is due to security issues.
Unfortunately there are many countries we receive a lot of security attacks, so as a security measure, I decided to revoke the access.
Let me know via PM your country and I will enable that.
Luciano

Thanks for that Luciano.
All three names noted above have now been credited on your website.

Cheers,
Andrew

...Ok, ok, it was only a suggestion, you are right too, of course nobody has to mark his photos, but at least for me, this is not the first "steal" of my pics in the internet, and I have no time and desire to be constantly complaining to all the guys using my photos without permission on websites, blogs, Facebook, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc ...:bored:
