Hi pF,

Starting work on the next bust. It's a large one this time :)

I am planning to paint the Italian Camo for this bust and have found some photos of Max Wunsche in them. (I intend to paint the exact pattern based on the photos). However i can't find an accurate color references of the Italian Camo. I seen some in varying shades of green, some with a blue bias, others more a yellow bias.

Can anyone help ? Tks !

Here's a WIP shot of the head, there's still some tidying up to do :)

Sure thing Nap.

Will post the WIP shots for the Italian Camo as well as the colors i use to replicate the patterns. :)

Excellent face.
Good luck on the difficult camo. Note that there is an acrylics recipe in Calvin Tan's Osprey book 'Painting WSS figures'.

Cheers,
Adrian

Hi Rompy

Been following this, fantastic face painting , and the camo is coming along great ,been thinking of venturing into a German figure , looking forward to seeing more developments
Cheers. Chris

Thanks Chris for the kind words :)

There are no shortage of German figures to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice.

I realised Hookers Green + Olive Green would not give me the color i desired for the light green islands. A better mixture would be Olive Green + Yellow Oxide (Orche) :)

Hi pF,

I am mid way through the uniform. Currently balancing the highlights and shadows. Appreciate if you guys can let me know if the colors are appropriate for the Italian Camo. Tks :)
