hello gordy
i use at moment acrylics from revell.some from games workshopand vallejo as well
but on leathers i like the good old artist oils for their sheen and lustre.
the scale is 120mm
i paint so that my shading works best on an armlenght distance.so if i close up any pics the figures look very messy i know, but at 30 cm distance and normal lighting iam quite happy
iam an pure eye pinter not one for the lense i would guess.
the lense is brutal and shows even the slightest flaw
cheers

Markus good to see some of your work and great subject, this figure is one I haven't seen before and he looks very interesting.

You did a good job on the painting and the colours you chose really suite the figure.

hellosteve
because i did collect antique weapons and was always hooked with medieval age i did choose this.
it has not always to be the shining knight.if i could sculpt i would do some of this kind.
wounded and limping with an companion from the filed with lots of pain in the face ect
the old fabrics where not so dull as we today may think.they had stunning colours in red in blue ect
but they had strict guidelines which social class had the right to wear such colours..so lots of colours wher forbidden for the common man.
thats the intriguing aspect with the landsquenets which broke this guidelines.and so they did get this rights of rich and splendour in clothing granted as right by their emperor which was called the last knight
Maximillian the first....
ah in short its very interesting so all come together
miniatures and interest in history collecting old weaponry ect ect
