Lovely progress mate, going to make for a great scene when painted up.

Hi Steve,
Thank you mate, how the hell you put all those fine perfectly formed parts on your weapons God only knows. I take my hat off to your skill, I don't know how parts have pinged out of the tweezers or fine slithers of putty I have dropped on the floor:facepalm:.
It's definitely pig Monkey headedness now as I'm not going to be beaten mate.
cheers
Richie

I find #5 magnification reading glasses help :D
Oh and I rarely use tweezers for that reason, you loose more parts than you attach. I use a small piece of blu-tac formed into a fine point for picking up parts and attaching them.
For fine slithers of putty I use a moist #1 paint brush to pick up and attach to figure (y)
Hope this helps mate and keep on with it, looks great.
Cheers

Super project Richie and love the conversion work. Like the composition as well- the way it’s raised up but the groundwork isn’t too bulky and overpowers the figures is a great idea.

Hi Neal,
Thank you, glad you like the project. The ground work had to compliment the horse poses, I tried to make it interesting, simple and as you say not overpowering.

This really is a nice piece Richie...very dynamic and atmospheric...so good your back at your best mate...looking forward to seeing some colour on it  :)

Hi All,
Managed to get a couple of painting sessions in on the horses so this is how it stands for far. I have never done a grey horse before so thought I would give it a go, it's more likely that Melvill had a brown nag in reality but on my version I thought a dashing grey for carrying the colours.

Wow, I've really fallen behind in watching this. Tremendous progress Richie! (y)(y)(y) I love what you are doing.

Hi Ken,
Thank you mate and ditto on your project. I'm definitely going to do some other conversions in smaller scale.
cheers
