This is going to be a first for me, painting a dark skinned face . The subject is a figure long OOP by Metal Models.Where is Reiunion I hear you ask, well its off the cost of Madagascar, in the Indian Ocean. They were form on the island to stop the British from invading as India was not far away and Napoleon wanted to stop this threat. My thanks to Arj and Huw63 for very useful information.
Not a lot of process but the groundwork is nearly done and bits of equipment have been painted.

The pictures were a google search but the figure was brought at Bugle call in Bristol last year, a great find. That came with the photo shown but no reference came with it.
Huw63 has said that it was produced as a gift with a magazine subscription.

Definitely looking forward to seeing this finished!!!!

Oda.
Great start !! Great Subject !!
Nice work Bob.
Impressive painting and colour mixes for the skin tones.
I can see this being a real corker on completion Sir.

Very good start Bob. The skin tones look good and I like the base a lot.

Thank you all very much, hope I can get some better pictures of the tones on the face.

Interesting subject of which I know nothing about but looking forward to seeing him come to life.

Bob

you aren't forgotten work is a bit in the way at the moment. I will scan the article and send to you this weekend.

Cheers

Huw

Thank you both for the kind words. Graham I was in the same boat as you I did not know anything about this unit.
Cheers Huw.

Now for an update, undercoated the tunic which is about nearlt done and a little tidy up around the cuffs and cross belts. the yellow piping is a pain, needs to be gone over again.
