MFCA SHOW REMINDER | planetFigure | Miniatures

With that, I would like to share some pics of another new figure we will have at the show. It's a 1/16 (120mm) WWI French Poilu, sculpted by Kaz Tomori.

Now that is sweet! (y)

Funny just a few days ago I was thinking, 'wonder what that Kaz guy is up to these days, hadn't seen anything of him for a while'. Now we know!

C’est Manifique!
Kaz & Paul - would love to paint this Poilu one day.
Wonderful to see this art being so faithfully translated & this guy will become a classic I’m sure.
Thanks for creating these for us.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I'm glad you like it. Kaz did an amazing job sculpting this.

JasonB,
We were thinking of a 1/9 version too, but I'm not sure yet. We also were thing of going the other way to 75mm. But we haven't decided.

Sgt Red and Gerry, and all,
I will only have a handful of castings at MFCA. General release will be afterwards until I make the production molds. Probably by mid-June. Then it will be available on our website for general ordering. Keep watching our website, and of course I will make an announcement here too.

regards,
Paul

An off-topic question, but does ModelCellar make and sell anything modern?

I recall Kaz made a modern female Private Military Contractor holding a M4 carbine and it was awesome and very rare and limited. I don't see that listed in your catalog anymore.

I am wondering if there will be anything modern or Sci-Fi in the future in 120mm scale and above.

Thanks.

Airborne Miniatures is a good source for some nice modern figs. I got a couple of their recent SF guys and they are very nice. I believe they are either laser scanned or computer modeled but actually cast in resin, which I much prefer.

Looks like I have my first stop in the vendor room on Friday. Excellent figure and one of my favorite subjects, (WW1)
