Stunning work Mike. So natural, fabulous brushwork. A lovely figure by Benoit, you're making me want to dig out some of my old JMD stuff to paint.....

And then my jaw fell on the table!
Working out the details is simply amazing.. I can imagine how much time you have invested in this thumbnail. Bravo!

Thanks Nigel these 65mm figures are just a little bit bigger & would work well with JMD.
Sculpting is sublime & Benoit was rightly awarded a Gold for his sculpting on the range.
Excellent Mike, beautifully painted.
Absolutely amazing painting as usual Mike, bravo!
Outstanding
Awesome work!

Bob, Chris, Dozer, Giwe & König - most appreciate comment folks.
Yes lots of details painted in, each taking time to complete, but worth effort.
Lots of fun with this project & with special reference to Arthur made it more emotionally connected to his story.

Superb piece Mike. Love the faded, worn look you’ve achieved on the tunic of the “decoy”.
Neal
Thanks for commenting Neal.
Wasn’t sure about tunic as thought it may look to dark but pleased with overall contrast.
Absolutely stunning :eek::cool:
Love the nuanced tones especially in the blue shirt
Paul
Cheers Paul for your thoughts.
Tried new mixes for his shirt, an interesting challenge.

Here’s a few more detail shots to help focus on specific textures & effects.

Very hard to believe he's only 65mm!!?? but then all I have to do is go upstairs and look at your figures in my collection and realise that he is that small and yes he is that good! Your work never ceases to surprise, impress and inspire me. So natural, so real and precise. Well done again Mike!

Absolutely beautiful work!
Scott
Stunning my mate.(y)
Staggeringly good. Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful, wonderful work.
Appreciated Scott, Carl, Hobbes, Peter - really threw myself into this project having worked closely with Jean-Luc & Benoit during design & sculpting. Brilliant to hear of Gold Medal recognition to Benoit at WorldExpo & some more interesting releases to come.

Thanks as always Andy for your kind encouragement & support.
You’re one of the few who get to see my figures in the flesh so value your feedback. I’m constantly second guessing myself - wondering if photos are accurate to reality…

Onward & upward to next projects - couple of commercial commissions so will have to be quiet on these until their release.

Masterful without a doubt.......Neurosurgeon with a paintbrush.....
Wayne
Love it Wayne!!
Not sure about neurosurgery ;-)
My approach & techniques are a bit too clumsy & dirty.
Not precise or technically clean. More character than clinical.
It works for some things, not for others.
Enjoying the learning journey though.
Absolutely stunning artwork as always...bravo buddy...have to keep coming back for another look.
Love it !!!
Regards
Pete
That’s nice to hear Pete. Than you.
I did agonise over which photos to share -
What angle, what detail, what light etc.
I also focused on Arthur the Kiwi,
as have an “Gent’s” agreement with David Lane he’ll do Aussie.
Cannot wait to see his version soon.

Trust above makes sense, if not please tell me.
