Fantastic work Mike! I guessing we will be seeing this at this years Nationals?

Sorry Moeggo (?) these are in Alexandra right? Won't be able to make them unfortunately, trip away to Brissy with a few of the Christchurch guys in Sept is it for my travelling this year.

Is there a website for this?

Mike

Hi Joe,

Believe they are out of print, however both are in our local library & I have seen second hand copies available at militaria book sales here. We have an annual Armistice Day event in November where these are sold, if you are unable to get some before then, I'd be happy to see if I could get you from dealers there.

In meantime here are some advertised copies for sale from our local "Amazon" & "EBay". You could try these, mail to me & I could on send if you want? If interested PM me here.

Hi Mike,
You are awesome! I appreciate the leads and info you've provided, and the offer. I lucked out and just found both books on www.abebooks.com . I also saved the photos of the Kapok for future reference. Do you know of other titles to have for a complete ( as one could get ), L.R.D.G library? Currently I have:

'The Lost Oasis' by Saul Kelly
'In Rommel's Backyard' by Alastair Timpson
'Sting of the Scorpion' by Mike Morgan
LRDG By David Lloyd Owen
and LRDG by W.B. Kennedy Shaw

Many thanks and best regards,
Joe

Yes the one down in Alexandra... I'm thinking of pasting it up too, since its a bit of a trip down. May flag it for the Christchurch show next year!

Now that should be one to get to, since missed last one there. Travelling to Brisbane with half a dozen of the ChCh guys, they have a tight group of figure modellers there. Should be a great time.

I almost missed this thread... Excellent paintwork Mike. The face is particularly well done. He looks alive.

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Thanks for posting the comment. Bust was enjoyable to paint, though photography still seems to be a challenge.
Nice to know they come across well on the web.

Stay safe,
Mike
