Hi Paulo, Guy, Marc and Roc,

Appreciate the warm welcome chaps, gotta admit though I am a frequent "lurker" here so not really a stranger, time is precious as you'll appreciate so I am not able to participate on all the sites as I'd like, especially now I'm trying to get back on the brushes.

Happy to answer any specific questions from anyone on this project.

Take care and happy modellin'

Very nicely done! I really like the arrows in the tall grass. The rough sleeve is nice also! Cool stuff!

Thanks for the comments Jay, I try hard to set the scene and tell a little story with my figures, including this one where the story probably was more important than the figure, given this was an "awkward" project with things not working out quite how I would have liked.

Any way the story for this fellow is based upon the famous Bayeux Tapestry, in effect a news article telling of the famous Norman period culminating in their victory over the Anglo Saxons in 1066. Most of us know that of course, however given the story was woven by the victors one has to intepret what the "opposition" might have looked like and this is what I have tried to do with this fellow. Hopefully he captures a little of the desperation these guys must have felt late in the day when after a short string of successful campaigns supporting their King Harold they were to be taken from the pages of their history, their fate being only to be retold in the tales of those they opposed.

A thought perhaps why we do this stuff...

Kind regards,

Mike

Hi Hardy,

Wouldn't say this is the best version of it however expect to utilise some of your techiques in upcoming projects.

Hi Artur,

Thanks mate, do call by MedRom if you have a chance and you'll see some of previous works. On the bench I have a special limited edition figure - a 90mm Halstatt Celt by Shane Tarry and I will be sure to share him with you all here.

Take care,
