Hi Guys,

Does anyone know whether the proposed figures labelled as "coming soon" on the Miniart website are ever likely to come to fruition?!

It has read like this for a couple of years and we were talking about it at club the other night.

Ta folks!

They did have to relocate from the Crimea to the Capital round about this time last year. So I suppose that's probably set them back a bit.

The plastic bodies come in two halves, as do the limbs. If you're prepared to spend the time cleaning up the joins they can be reasonably presentable. They're also quite cheap.

Cheers Andrew - I thought that may be the case.

Graham - As Andrew says, not bad figures if you don't mind some cleanup and filling, but for around about a tenner, brilliant for conversions!

Hi chaps,
I have one of each of all their range except for /eoring.
I emailed them in March about the coming soon concerning the medieval archer .
The reply was a batch of new releases has been set back until the end of this year.
This is because of their reliocation to Kiev.
They have products right through their catalogue range that are almost ready to go.
Some of the kit components are mastered in curious ways that make you smile.
For example the imperial guard grenadier. The legs are in two halves each but the arms are solid.
The rucksack is in four pieces but has no back, requiring a chunk of filler when added to the model
The rolled greatcoat is also in four pieces.
The fur bonnet is in four quarters plus the metal plate and top patch.
Even the plume is in 4 pieces.
Much of this is really unnecessary but makes into a decent model.
By cross kitting plenty of conversions are possible.
I really like these kits they are great fun and I would commend them to everyone.

I have built some amazing MiniArt armour and vehicle kits and they are prone to over engineering the number of parts but are very nice kits. Thought I would have a look so just ordered the Imperial Guard Dutch Grenadier to have a play :)

Sorry to have moved off topic Steve ;)

No probs! thanks PeeDee, maybe some new stuff for Christmas, then?!

My impression was more like the New year Steve.

I think they have really missed a trick here with the WW1 anniversary they really should have pushed the Imperial russian and German stuff out but they've run off a series of trucks bulldozers and mp motorbike variants instead. ( Super models all of them by the way).

They have lost over 6 months production altogether so they'll be playing catch up for a while.
Still, for the number of figures they have listed it's going to be worth the wait .
.
Anyway you don't need 'em you can le out a few of your own while you wait.
Thinking back to our first face to face conversation, I hope you still have your lovely purple coated swordsman
that I saw in the 'comp room' at sutton coldfield town hall.
Regards
Paul

Sure have! Also the dragoon militiaman to go with it!

I can feel an ECW/Monmouth Rebellion artillery officer coming on soon.....!

;)
