Well done Malc we love it, you have captured the scene very well indeed. He is a credit to you.

Cracking job Malc, I reckon that much pale grey would send a sane person off barking at the moon. You really have nailed this though.

How was the take away? First thing I had to do when I got home last night was go to the fish and chip shop, still saves cooking.

Cheers Simon

You're right, painting one colour, especially grey can drive you bonkers. :woot:
I did my best to make it look more interesting with some weathering.

Had a nice cup of tea when I arrived home, followed by a very tasty curry.
Hope you enjoyed the fish and chips. :)

Oh yes nice piece of haddock and curry sauce on the chips, just missing mushy peas!

Cheers Simon

Nicely done Malc, particularly like his face and the distressed boots, very effective

Thanks Nap.

They'll be another from TFB's ACW range hitting the bench in the not too distant future.
In the meantime following on from Eric the Viking...is Eric the Pirate, John Rosengrant's AWI figure and the Skanderbeg bust from Scale collectables.
busy painting time ahead.

Sadly though I have a bedroom to decorate first. Got to keep Mrs C happy.

Very nice work indeed Malc, this came together really nicely. I really like the weathering and the way you linked the figure to the groundwork.

very nice and beautiful weathering, very nice figure also and the uniform, never see that ???
but great done Malc (y)

Some super painting for us to see there, Malc. Those skin tones are spot on. The restraint you’ve shown on the greys has really paid off - this is excellent.
