Just done some work on the leather for Adolf here.
Didn't know if this was a working jacket so I just made it so.
Some distress at shoulders where I'm guessing it would rub in the cockpit.

Usual oils over acrylics (Rons method).

I wanted to try and get a more matted look to make it look even worn.

Then applied diluted Vallejo sepia ink on top half and black in on the bottom half trying to merge it.
Roughed up bits were orange rust then German cam beige.

See what you think,

Gells

Looking great Grant love the work and worn look on the jacket

Be interested in hearing how you are painting that shirt

Looking forward to more

Very nice work on the leather.
That's another of your posts that's been bookmarked for reference.

Cheers,
Andrew

Hey buddy, it's not jacket cockpit. He had a zipper. It's a long leather coat.
But This remains the fact that it was painted EXELENTE. And it is this good.

Hey Gells, I tried out your inking method over acrylics on my Russian tanker belt & straps, Topper! (y)
I have got that method saved for another project as well, :)
Your leatherwork on Galland looks great, he must have loved that coat...
