Hi Peter

That's come on well , like the way you've done the blue , nice work on the pistol as well

Nice contrast between the hair colour and blue

Thanks for updates

Happy benchtime

Hi Nap - This nearly hit the bin a couple of times, but it has responded to a bit of extra effort and will hopefully make it to the finish line - just the hat, holster an ammo pouch to do anyway.

Ken - Thank you. A typical Carl Reid sculpt with lots of character and movement.

Excellent work once again Peter....You are becoming one of my favourite painters...your faces are brilliant...bravo !!
Regards
Pete

Morning Peter

Superb progress with great drapery, it really does enhance the detailed and action packed sculpt

Well done.

The gloves are so good, white really is a tough one to get looking right

Another winner with just the bits left to do.

Have a warm day with the paints

Regards

Steve H

Pete - Thank you. Very kind words.

Steve - Cheers. I have really been bothered by the drapery as I feel that the coat is a bit overly wrinkled. I've tried to tone it down, but it's one of those cases where if you ignore the creases and folds you just end up with an unfinished look, I should get this done today, though Joe is off to the vet for a knee operation (you'll know all about that) so there will be some disruption to services. Keep warm.

Hi Peter

Fingers crossed Joe will be back on all 4 paws in no time.

He has all my empathy having had 2 bionic knees fitted!!

Lots of treats and love once he gets back from the vets

Take good care and catch up once the op is done

Regards

Hi Peter

Glad it's not made it to the bin , fair point you raised ref the cost being slightly over wrinkled but you've done it well

Look forward to seeing the next updates

Best wishes to Joe ...sure he has a pampering plan organised

Stay safe

Hi Nap

I've just spent a couple of hours completely repainting the uniform. I decided it needed to be darker with only subtle highlights, and would benefit from a looser approach. Touch and go......

Neil -I'll think about it!

Here he is then

Morning Peter

Good idea to use a darker paint on the coat as it looks even better

Well done.

Another victim on the bench today?

Hopefully Joe is in recovery mode

Have a good day with the new head

Regards

Neil - Thank you.

Nap - I used mixes of Vallejo Dark Prussian Blue, Black and Off White for the uniform to try and get the correct colour. Pleased that you like him.

Steve - I have to admit that this is not my best and will probably go straight to the old soldier's home in the attic. I found certain aspects of the sculpt quite hard to get right and felt that it didn't really suit my style. Joe is feeling very sorry for himself and and is making me feel like a great betrayer, even though I keep telling him that it was for his own good. A 120mm Dog Tag figure next.

Hi Peter

Thanks for the paint details certainly worked well

Look forward to the Dog Tag figure

Hope Joe feels better soon

Happy benchtime
