Hi everyone, this is my rendition of Mitches Military Models bust of Blucher. This is my first attempt at a bust and still some little bits and pieces to complete before I can call it finished. It's my first time posting any of my work on the forum and any comments or advice would be greatly welcome.

Painted in artists oils over enamel.

Hi anstontyke, thanks for your kind words. I haven't got the Wellington or Napoleon busts as yet but did pick up another, Fl Lt Nicolson VC, when I got this from Ross at the Stoke show.

Welcome to PF. Well done on the Blucher bust. If you don't have them you really should get Wellington and Napoleon. I painted all three way back when and they do make a great trio.

Hi there, welcome to Planet Figure.
That's some great painting on the bust.
You've handled a lot of difficult painting such as the blues and braiding really well.
Very clean lines too.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Canonball

BIG Welcome to PF from me

Looks good and as said some nice work on the medals and tidy painting

The 3 look good together , I have the original David Grieve versions so this may well prompt me to get them out and blow the cobwebs off !

Thanks for sharing and ENJOY your bench time

Nap

PS Have a go at our fun filled monthly comp ...Figure of the month ........with a prize as well ( see FOTM part of PF )

Hi Nap, thanks for the welcome and comments. Once I've finished I'll look at putting it in FOTM. Having been a visitor to the site for a couple of years now I know the quality of work on here is great and in some respects can be a little daunting but at the same time a great place to gain advice and learn new skills.

Go on, blow them cob webs away and get painting!
