MFCA is somewhere in Pennilvania I think and is usually in late April or early May. SCHAMS used to be in Anahiem, but they didn't hold it this past March, and I haven't heard that they are planning to revive that show for this year. I would love to be corrected on that score however...

MFCA is held in Valley Forge PA. Several of your fellow Torontons? regularly attend the show.

Just to add - Valley Forge is northwest of Philadelphia, which is at the other end of Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh.
Paul Kernan and Joe Videcki are two Toronto-area painters who regularly attend MFCA, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few others.
As an added bonus, you have to pass Gettysburg (ok, Harrisburg, but G'burg is only 40 min. south) on the Penn Turnpike, and there are a bunch of interesting sites in and around the Philly area, not the least of which is . . . Valley Forge!

BTW, MFCA is Friday and Saturday the 9th and 10th of May, 2014.

We at SCAHMS are working on scheduling a show for next year. I'll let you know what we come up with. Got some meetings coming up soon on that topic. It will be in the Los Angeles area. Trying not to conflict with other shows is a bit of a puzzle.

I always go to MFCA. It is THE show to attend if you can only go to one. Seven hours from Buffalo but a wonderful drive.

"Torontonians". But then I live in the part of Toronto that was the Borough of Scarborough, so I guess that makes me a "Scarberian".

I have been known to drop in on the Hornet on occasion. And back in the day, come down to your neck of the woods and beat up on the Buffalo Hornets... and great memories of the old Playboy Executive Hotel.
