Not much to take
i thought it was a good event, but i did notice the lack of traders and there was no kitswap which is a good way of increasing my stash, but overall i enjoyed myself, met some interesting and helpfull people, and look forward to next year. if anyone has photos of this event or knows where i can find them online, please contact me.thank you / badger

Unlikely you will find much......maybe some stuff will appear on IPMS sites.
Have to say, I thought the overall quality of figures had improved.
The concern that we (me, davie mitchell, ron tamburrrini and brian snaddon) have is the lack of obvious security of the models, risk of damage and the knowledge base of judges regarding figure painting.
I suppose until more modellers submit figures that will always be the case ....... maybe next year.

i noticed that some people had put their entry into the wrong category and told one of the officials,who did not seem sure of what to do? he then came back and asked me what to do ,so we moved the models very carefully to the right place. perhaps it would be a good idea to contact the organisers and express your ideas on how to improve things for next year,i.e. security,risk of damage and if someones model is damaged en-route to the show, perhaps a table where someone can help them with repairs,a small gesture but one i think would be appreciated. as for the judges,i think it would be very difficult to be one as instead of looking for faults in models, i think they should also take in account the good things in the model. perhaps they already do?but as i said earlier, i would find it very difficult to decide whose model was better than anothers / badger

The lack of security is a big issue and stopped me from entering anything.
Some of the problems are the tables are too low so figures could be knocked off easily and the layout is far spread though out the hall and also the same old stuff gets put up for sale each year and the same old models are dusted down and aired until next year .
There were a couple of things of interest re the figures albeit from one of our southern cousins .
Highlight for me was the company I was in .
