Just finished this excellent little vignette this afternoon, in fact the musket is still drying so that I can handle it to glue it in place. After years of trying to take even passable photos, I took these pictures using my iphone and making use of the under cabinet lighting in our kitchen. (hence the tile back splash as a back drop) I was quite pleased and hope they will give you a better idea of what the figure looks like. Painted in oils over acrylic under coat.

To the untrained eye (my own), your piece is as good as, if not better than the seller's display piece. Well done.

Hi Glenn

If I did " legs" this would be one piece I woukd choose , the whole concept is great

As for your version ......what's not to like ...as Carl says very very nice ......that scarecrow has so much character ..love the waistcoat

Why not enter it or something into FOTM and the Vignette & Diorama comp

Thanks for sharing

Happy benchtime

Wonderful! This pair from Alexandros is the "Figure of the year" for me,and for many others,I think. It will be my next project...….
There was a Union soldier,firing behind a scarecrow,many moons ago.The Company was Ravenswood,I think.What happened to these figures?Callico Jack,The flying Dutchman....etc.

Superb painting, love the waistcoat and the blue trousers. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, will definitely use yours as a painting reference. Well done.

Hello congratulations very nice scene, in my opinion the painting of the subjects is notable, the colors are not too warm you can see well the details often make the difference.:)
