Cant go half way, he needs a shield now ... and a horse... knowing when to stop is so difficult sometimes

Spear in a good position ..perhaps have it being held under the arm ?

Shield would be good ...a full one rather than half IMO ...

I would make shield bigger by at least 1/3( better - by half) and hang it on the back. It would create better visual and you could add more belts in front. I still think fur on shoulders will look good.

You need to make shoulders wider anyway
