Sculpted & Painted by Young B. Song
11 parts

While at the recent Atlanta show in February I picked up the Mongol and Roman bust by Young Miniatures from The Red Lancers. With the subject being Mongol I was pleased to see Young come out with a Mongol bust to go along with his other Mongol and Eagle bust he did for MIG.

Packaged in the sturdy black box with all the parts sandwiched between foam and all the small parts in a small baggie to prevent loss or damage.

The kit consists of 11 parts including a small brass ring, optional resin base and a brass etched name plaque.

Finely casted hair braids with a thin film of flashing to be removed with a scalple are attached to each side of the head behind the ear.

Also, a finely detailed tassle that is attached to the end of the sword that attaches to his back.

The shoulder section is loaded with detail of the Mongol's armor and comes with brass wire to simulate the leather straps hanging from the cape rings.

The head is seam free and fits snuggly down into the neck with a slight tilt to the left.

The sword scabbard is also well detailed with fur fringe and texture to the actual scabbard.

Conclusion:

Another excellent kit from Young Miniatures with very little prior clean-up needed before painting.

Hello Guy. Great Review, I Have This Kit Myself And Was Knocked Out At The Quality.can I Ask You To Try And Show Where The Copper Wire Goes I Have Looked And Looked And Can't Work It Out. I Can't Even See It On The Painted Version. Cheer's For Any Help. Dave.

Hello Dave,
The cape was made from animal hide and quite often dyed various individual colors or left in the natural color.

Not sure yet what I will paint mine in.
