Dave,
He looks fine to me. But you should consider as suggest by yourself to redo the bow.
It get's to much attention with the white color. Maybe a wash will do.
I cannot see any imperfection in the eyes.

wow

Might take my Vbench down after seeing this one. Love the face but the clothing is outstanding.
Very nice work

Well Dave, I have a hard time seeing any issues with the bow. The catch-light in the left eye is a bit big, but other than that no complaints here. Over all he turned out a cracker! Love the pattern on the clothing, the sheen and wood grain of the bow are perfect! Well done.

Hi Guys

I have looked and looked at this piece again and again, I can safely say I am not happy with it. So I am going to redo some parts and add to what I have here in other areas and see what I come up with. you never know I might completely strip it and start again.

Dave

Boy he sure looks great from here. I'll be interested to hear what you end up doing with him. I would sure hate to see you strip such a lovely paint job.

Hello! Dave.
AWESOME painting!
I see a figure in red.
Is this the effect at which you aim?
When I meet, I think it's successful perfectly.
I congratulate completion.

Dave, I'm adding my voice to those before me who have expressed their admiration for your work to date on this bust.

With all due respect, I would suggest that if you truly feel there are deficiencies in this piece, you set it aside for a while, and perhaps work on another project, rather than tossing this in the stripper bath as a lost cause.

Other than the eye comment, and perhaps the wash on the bone (?) end of the bow, all of the comments have been positive without being sunshine up your skirt. Without knowing exactly what you're seeing that these painters are not, the consensus appears that this is a great piece of miniature art.

I had the pleasure of seeing your pieces at MFCA last month. From the images provided, this Mongol would have only added to the quality of your display.

I dare say there aren't many Planeteers who would not welcome the opportunity to have this bust in their display cabinets right now, as it sits!

Thank you for continuing to share your work with us here on this forum.

Don

From the photos Dave, I think it is looking great apart from the things you mentioned ,I would leave it at that as you have made a great job of getting a very moody fell to this bust.

Cheers David

Guys

Thank you very much for the comments they are very much appreciated, I may have been a little flippant with my stripping comment. It will not be stripped, just a few issues I feel I could do better will be rectified....

Don, thank you, you are a gentleman, it is a great pleasure for me, to know that so many people appreciate my work.

I will just do what is necessary and move on.

Thanks again Guys

Dave
