Its been a while since I posted anything. Frankly I was hesitant to show my latest work since it doesn't fit any historical theme and this particular kit from Pegaso has its share of detractors when first introduced. However I did this as more of a personal challenge in tackling different gradients for large areas of flesh in acrylics. Anyway hope you like despite my notorious lack of photo skills.

I love this figure. It is a bit of a stereotypical female fantasy figure (i.e. less is more) but at least she's depicted with a weapon that she could realistically wield and not one that she'd barely be able to lift, let alone swing, as is the norm. I also like the way she is delicately plucking the arrow from the quiver. In my opinion it is one of the better female fantasy figures available and you're doing a cracking job with her. I'll be following closely :)

I like it!
Fantasy figs are a challenge all their own and you've done a fine job. You've definitely hit your target... the large area of flesh tones (female at that) look fine, very nice subtle tones and transitions.

Nice work

I like this a lot - great to use imagination and not have to adhere to uniforms sometimes. Have bought a couple of fantasy figures the last few years myself - latest was the ice queen on a polar bear, just saw it and liked it.

Keep on the good work.

Cheers

Appreciate all the generous responses! I also agree that fantasy themes allow more room for creativity; and I find it hard to produce work on historical subjects that's been already done by others with far more talent. I still enjoy building those however and do love a good sculpt. Kind of backwards but here's a WIP of the base using milliput, along with a shot under lower lighting to better show the tones. Cheers!
